Simple and practical guide for organizing environmental education activities. It is intended primarily for educators, who may use it as an instrument of work in both areas of formal education (schools, institutes, vocational training, lifelong learning, etc.) and informal (recreation centers, education Community training of volunteers, organizations, etc.).
The guide is divided into five main areas aimed at teaching and learning of a selection of concepts, procedures and values that we consider useful to promote the transition to a more sustainable society. From a thematic point of view, these blocks are arranged sequentially: (1) Recognizing the vital needs and the environment, (2) Appreciating the diversity of life, (3) Learning to manage natural resources, (4) Detecting problems, (5) Considering trends.
