Founded on
2 March 2004 in Barcelona by
MCRIT Ltd, a consultancy specialised in urban and regional planning, the Foundation works across
four interconnected areas. It communicates and disseminates research and innovation projects, translating complex findings into narratives that reach policymakers, practitioners, communities, and funders across Europe.
It designs
learning and capacity-building programmes that draw on Design Thinking, Systems Thinking, and Theory of Change to help people navigate complexity and lead systemic innovation, with particular emphasis on green, digital, and resilience skills. It facilitates
stakeholder engagement and strategic decision-making, running inclusive multi-actor processes and Living Labs where citizens, academia, industry, and government co-explore sustainability transitions. And it supports
innovation and start-ups, mentoring entrepreneurs and changemakers as they turn systemic insight into viable, context-sensitive solutions.
Guided by humanity, communication, creativity, and sustainability, Ersilia believes that
changing ourselves is the first step toward changing the world, transforming knowledge into action for the common good. The Foundation upholds a quality policy aligned with applicable legal requirements, and has adopted a gender equality plan implementing a non-discrimination policy at work.
